Alice had good Thanksgiving episodes

Its hard to do a good Thanksgiving episode without getting cheezy. Both Alice episodes are very funny. In 1978 Mel buys stolen turkeys that Vera sets free which makes Mel buy a plastic turkey to show off on TV feeding homeless kids.
Good episode

In 1982 when scripts were losing interest the Thanksgiving episode is so funny. Alice's overbearing mom comes and almost ruins Thanksgiving. She brings her own turkey all the way from NJ. Her mom controls everyone with her fake cough.
Good episode.

Thats alot. It shows how long the series lasted. We get a couple Xmas episodes and at least 1 Halloween show. Thanksgiving is not usually a sitcom script but the writers at Alice did a great job. Alice also had incredible Xmas episodes. The one where they all get stuck in the truck in the mountains and then when the lights go out in the Diner and Santa saves the day.

Those christmas eps should be on this month as we get closer to christmas
