Default Why is The National Dog Show so popular?

Every Thanksgiving next to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade I noticed that The National Dog Show has become a tradition and I can't figure out why it's popular? Is it because a lot of people watch it? Or is it because people like the different dogs that they have? I have never understood why this show is such a huge Thanksgiving hit for NBC and they should move it to another month rather than November

People love dogs. And they love J. Peterman.

There's not much doing on Thanksgiving. It's a non sports alternative to football. The National Dog Show isn't all that popular. The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden is the premier dog show in America.

I think the main reason why The National Dog Show became popular for NBC every Thanksgiving is that people have something to watch after the parade and I think this show gets such high ratings is because it draws big viewers but NBC should put something else in place of The National Dog Show and move it to Thanksgiving night

My mom is a big fan of the Thanksgiving national dog show, more than the Macys parade which she didn't watch this year. They should and will just keep the dog show where it is, Thanksgiving night NBC always airs football now.
