Free Premium Cable Channels on Comcast - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Since at least this past Friday, the "pay extra" channels here have been unscrambled. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing it too?
Free HBO, ShowTime, Smithsonian Channel, Science channel.

I know they do that for a weekend from time to time, hoping to bait the hook with a free trial. But usually in times past when they've done that here, by 6 am monday the scramble has returned. And in this case, we're still going strong.

For a long time now, I've been thinking about buying a tier, to get Smithsonian and Science channels. But from this weekend I was surprised that they still have commercials on those channels? That's gotta sukk, paying a subscription and still having commercial interruptions?

WOW, so NOBODY else is receiving "free" premium channels that just started recently?

Wonder if something is broke at my cable provider?

Sometimes they let it go for a week or more..........

I must say that the Science channel has been the biggest disappointment. Their program titles always look so good in the guide. But what a bunch of cheesy drama queens trying to "talk up" mundane aspects and make them sound exciting. I keep wanting to tell them "just the facts please"

And then there is the willingness to present conjecture as fact, based upon no more than anecdotal observation and what they evidently believe to be "disciplined" speculation.

Real let down. Doubtful their shows are peer reviewed during production.

It's like the mentality behind the History Channel's "Ancient Aliens" was a virus and spreading across the dial.
