This spooky family's TV show aired at the same time period as The Addams Family, two seasons from 1964-1966 on CBS. Fred Gwynne stars as giant Herman Munster, with Yvonne De Carlo as his wife Lily. Al Lewis was Grandpa, Butch Patrick was Eddie, and Marilyn was their normal looking niece who they thought was an ugly duckling. Beverly Owen first played Marilyn, then Pat Priest. Spot was their pet dragon.
Night Court aired 8 seasons on NBC from 1984-1992. Harry Anderson (Judge Harry Stone), Richard Moll (giant bailiff Bull Shannon), and John Laroquette (sleazebag prosecutor Dan Fielding) are the only regulars who were in every season. Starting out as bailiff was Selma Hacker (Selma Diamond). Selma died at the end of season 2, so she was replaced with Florence Kleiner (Florence Halop). Florence also died at the end of season 3, so the replacement bailifff was a lot younger. Marsha Warfield played Roz Russell for the rest of the series. Lana Wagner (Karen Austin) was Harry's clerk in season 1, She was replaced with Mac Robinson (Charles Robinson), who was there for 8 seasons. Liz Williams (Paula Kelly) was the defense attorney in season 1, and Billie Young (Ellen Foley) was her replacement in season 2. Markie Post had guest starred as Christine Sullivan. When her contract with The Fall Guy ended, Markie was free to join Night Court full time and was there for 7 seasons. Denice Kumagai recurred as Mac's wife Quon Le, the marriage had started out just to save her from deportation but became a real marriage. Yakov Smirnoff made several guest appearances as Russian immigrant Yakov Korolenko. In later seasons John Astin recurred as Harry's father Buddy. |

The Munsters is winning this round 10-7. What makes Night Court so bad that it deserves to be beaten by a short-runner? I hate when short-running shows try to prove that they're better than long-runners. I can't just pretend that the long-runners that lost advanced to the second round instead of the short-runners that actually won.

Why do you hate short lived shows so much? Just because they weren't long running doesn't make them poor quality shows. The Munsters is highly regarded by many.
