So the story goes something like this, some members of the Flying Burrito Brothers band decided to do a side project with a few other musicians, they called themselves "Sierra" and recorded an album, released in 1977 on the Mercury Records label. Over the years, this album has received more criticism than praise, but the fact is it's a very tuneful album filled with catchy melodies, the album plays like a greatest hits album with one good song after the other. "You Give Me Lovin" is the one weaker track on the album, but the other songs are strong. "Let Me Live" is a song of inspiration and a nice way to close out the album. I have a copy of the vinyl LP and I'm glad I have it because it's long out of print and copies are getting scarce to find.
The full album can be heard here, definitely worth a listen. ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdJx7OCyCFg |
