I don't know if that one is a fraud or not. Who is the seller? The one thing I would recommend to anybody about to bid on the pic, is to look at the person's feedback. Even if the seller has 10,000+ feedbacks. Does the pic come with a Certificate of Authenticity? Does the seller say that he or she is a member of UACC? If that is the case, I would go to UACC's site and look up a number if he plainly states on it. "I'm a UACC member. Number is 1881" or something."
I think I just got ripped off on an autograph picture I just won. I'm not really sure though. Someone posted on another board a day after I won the auction, so that really helped. Like I said, if anybody plans on bidding look at every feedback. Just skim through it and read every Neutral or Negative feedback. This helps some of the time, but not all of the time. If the seller has over 4,000 feedbacks total, and he has 56 neutrals and 75 negatives...I really wouldn't bid on it. Oh yeah, one more thing- Another thing you can do is go to www.stararchive.com and compare the signatures. Type in Nancy McKeon and do the comparing. |

Yeah, I checked and Nancy's autograph on Star Archives is way different than that ebay one, I guess the only way you can actually get an authentic autograph is to meet the person yourself or write to them. I wrote to Mary Tyler Moore and she gave me an authentic personalized autograph, and I tried to write to Jerry Mathers (Leave it to Beaver) but he charges $50.00 for a personalized autograph. I wish Kim Fields had a real mailing address, she's not found. I'm going to write to Lisa Whelchel, Nancy McKeon, and Charlotte Rae. I'm waiting for a glossy photo to come so I can send it to them to sign.

LISA signs all hers in capitol letters(except for Whelchel...)at least she did every single time she signed stuff for me...granted she only signed 4 things, but, still, FOUR times she did it ALL in caps...I would think she'd do it like that ALL the time?? Ya know?

Someone already mentioned the Kim Fields auto that doesn't have the "S" on Fields.
Someone mentioned the Lisa and how she signs autographs with caps for her first name. Look at Nancy's- I think I've seen Nancy's autograph before and it def. looks larger and loopier. Nancy's autograph on there looks so small and scrunched up..... I really can't see Mindy's all that well. I see "Mindy", but I can't see "Cohn" is on it. |
