Bewitched aired 8 seasons on ABC from 1964-1972. Starring Elizabeth Montgomery as a witch who marries a mortal Darrin Stephens. Dick York was Darrin for seasons 1-5. But he had to drop out because of bad health and was recast with Dick Sargent for seasons 6-8. Dick Sargent had a whole lot less chemistry with Elizabeth Montgomery than Dick York had. Agnes Moorehead was Samantha's mother Endora who did not approve of a mixed marriage and often tormented Darrin with her spells. In season 2 Tabitha was born, and it was soon discovered she had inherited her mother's powers. Marion Lorne recurred as Samantha's Aunt Clara. When Marion died irl, Aunt Clara was never mentioned again. David White was Darrin's boss Larry Tate, who was supposedly a good friend but kept firing him. Paul Lynde guest starred as a human driving instructor of Samantha's. He then recurred as her warlock Uncle Arthur. Pandora Spocks, an alias Elizabeth used, played Samantha's naughty cousin Serena. Alice Pearce played snoopy neighbor Gladys Kravitz well during the two black and white seasons. When Alice died irl, Gladys was recast with Sandra Gould. Her husband Abner was played by George Tobias. During the Dick Sargent era, Samantha gave birth to a 2nd child Adam.

Hazel aired 5 seasons from 1961-1966, the first four on NBC. When they cancelled CBS picked it up for a final season. Starring Emmy winner Shirley Booth as housekeeper and cook Hazel Burke, who was always meddling in the Baxter's lives. Hazel knew how to manipulate things and get her way. Don DeFore and Whitney Blake were her bosses George and Dorothy Baxter. Bobby Buntrock was their son Harold. Maudie Prickett recurred as another maid Rosie, and Howard Smith recurred as lawyer George's most important client Mr. Harvey Griffin. CBS made a terrible move in season 5 getting rid of George and Dorothy because they wanted a younger cast. George's brother Steve and his wife Barbara not only became Hazel's new bosses, but were Harold's guardians as his parents had left him behind when they were sent to the Middle East.
