Default Tournament Round One: My Two Dads vs. It's a Living

Staci Keanan was charming as Nicole Bradford in My Two Dads, airing three seasons on NBC from 1987-1990. Nicole's mother had died, not being sure of who the father was but having it narrowed down to two men. So the mother left Nicole in her will to both of them! For the sake of Nicole they all moved into one house. The dads with totally different personalities were Michael Taylor (Paul Reiser) and Joey Harris (Greg Evigan). Judge Margaret Wilbur (Florence Stanley) was the judge who checked in on this unusual arrangement and became their landlord. Ed Klawicki (Dick Butkus) was a retired football player who owned the diner in their building. When Dick Butkus left at the end of season 2, Judge Wilbur took over the restaurant as well. Giovanni Ribisi and Chad Allen played Nicole's boyfriends Cory Kupkus and Zach Nichols. Amy Hathaway was Nicole's best friend Shelby Haskell.

It's a Living started out on ABC for the first two seasons from 1980-1982. Three years went by after it was cancelled, then it came back to life for four more seasons in first-run syndication from 1985-1989. It's a Living was set at Over the Top, a fancy restaurant in a huge hotel. The syndicated version was a big improvement because of Crystal Bernard's casting as waitress Amy Tompkins. Also introduced in season 3 was chief cook Howard Miller (Richard Stahl). The cast improved even more in season 4 when Ann Jillian (waitress Cassie Cranston) left and was replaced with Sheryl Lee Ralph as waitress Ginger St. James. Remaining all six seasons were hostess/manager Nancy Beebe (Marian Mercer), waitresses Dot Higgins (Gail Edwards) and Jan Hoffmeyer Grey (Barrie Youngfellow), and pianist Sonny Mann (Paul Kreppel).

I pick It’s A Living because Susan Sullivan was in it during the earlier seasons until she was casted as Maggie on Falcon Crest

I have edited my information about It's a Living that will follow it to round two, did not realize Howard was only in the syndicated era.
