Interesting article which indirectly refers to this episode. Mentions that going into season three Denise Miller was added to bring more youthful energy to the cast and do a broader range of stories Danielle Brisebois was not ready for yet. That might explain why the Stephanie character was put on the back burner.

It also seemed to indicate the Accountant (Steve Hendrickson) was in store for a big time role. I wonder what happened? He only lasted 2 episodes. Then they brought in Gary (Barry Gordon) for the same purpose in just a slightly different part.
