One thing I've been trying to remember is what was the last episode of Sanford And Son like? What happened on that show? Could someone fill in the blanks for me?

In the last episode, everyone thought that Fred had eyes on a white schoolteacher. It was entitled "School Daze".
There was no official farewell for the series. It was cancelled after Redd and Demond wanted more money. After Sanford and Son, there was a spinoff called "The Sanford Arms" where Aunt Esther was collecting rent money from a man who rented the hotel from Fred and Lamont, who were explained to be living in Arizona. In 1980, NBC wanted to bring back the show and Redd decided to do it. Demond Wilson declined on the project because he wanted too much money. Instead, they teamed Fred up with a big fat white man named Cal Lewis. Even that series didn't have a proper final episode. In 1990, TBS had a reunion special with all of the cast members since back then that station carried the show. Thanks for the compliment. The Sanford and Son site is still in construction. Also note that the show will return to TVLAND in 2003.
