Not a Surprise But Briga Heelan (Samantha) Not Returning for Season 2 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I say it's "not a surprise" because Samantha has been absent since the third-to-last episode of the first season. However, I've never seen it stated officially that she left the show, so I asked David Anthony Higgins (Jerry) on Twitter and he responded that she was sadly not returning for the new season. So, it's been confirmed. At first, I was bummed because I really liked her character, but seeing the direction the show is going in, I think there are enough changes that her absence won't be quite as glaring for me anymore.

Oh .... that's too bad. they could have done a lot with her character.

the new actress does not have any charisma. she isn't even pretty.

She dumped Drew anyway & now is gone from the show. So she was only in 1 episode??

This is slightly off topic about Briga but since the show is focusing more on the retirement community and all the new characters there, do you think they will faze Drew out too?
