Default Disney Blu Ray Request: "Hello Ladies: The Complete Series"

Dear To Whom It May Concern,

I have a proposal for Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment: to issue, for the first time EVER on Blu Ray, "Hello Ladies: The Complete Series," showcasing all 8 episodes of the acclaimed yet short-lived 2013 sitcom "Hello Ladies" 100% Complete, 100% Uncut, AND 100% Unedited, just the way that each episode originally aired on the HBO Television Network.

Created by Steve Merchant, "Hello Ladies" originally aired on HBO from September 29, 2013 - November 17, 2013; the series was based loosely on Steve's Stand-Up Comedy Routine adapted into the British DVD special "Hello Ladies Live!," focusing on Steve's search for a potential Wife for Life.

Soon after seeing the DVD, American writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg adapted "Hello Ladies" for HBO, with The Walt Disney Company (as ABC Studios) producing the series for HBO, marking the first time in over 15 years since a Major Studio produced a show for HBO (since Garry Shandling retired "The Larry Sanders Show," owned by Sony but aired on HBO).

The series cast Steve Merchant as Stuart Pritchard, a Web Designer by Trade who immigrated to America from England (as Steve did in real life), settling down in Los Angeles, California, after a breakup with former girlfriend Trudy, who left him to marry an IT Colleague of theirs, Mike Moffatt.

Stuart's tenant at the Guest House he owned next to his own house was Jessica Vanderhoff (Christine Woods), a Struggling Actress struggling to make ends meet by going on various Acting Auditions; other Principal characters included Wade Bailey (Nate Torrence), a man with Low Self-Esteem issues struggling to accept that his Marriage to wife Marion (Crista Flanagan), with whom he had a young daughter, Cassie (Reece Caddell), was on the brink of Divorce; and Kives (Kevin Weisman), a Paraplegic who, despite being Wheelchair-bound and Physically Disabled, was FAR MORE successful with Women than Stuart ever was. By comparison, Kives' portrayer, Kevin Weisman, IS NEITHER Physically OR Mentally Handicapped, but rather FULLY Able Bodied; his younger cousin Alex, however, has Muscular Dystrophy.

After HBO cancelled "Hello Ladies," a 2-Hour TV Movie Version titled "Hello Ladies: The Movie" was telecast on November 22, 2014, with Stuart and Jessica ending up together as a Couple by Film's end, with Stuart likewise realizing that his search for a Wife was right under his nose all along.

Personally, I LOVED "Hello Ladies" and it was very sad and unfortunate to see HBO cancel the show after only a single full season when OTHER shows like it e.g. "Eastbound and Down" lasted 4 or more seasons airing on HBO.

HBO Home Entertainment previously released "Hello Ladies: The Complete Series and The Movie" on DVD on May 26, 2015; with Disney's Blu Ray release, however, "Hello Ladies: The Complete Series," with a Tentative Release Date of September 7, 2022 at a cost of ONLY $9.99, shall include DOZENS of Bonus Features in a 2-Disc Blu Ray compilation--with Disc 2 consisting of "Hello Ladies: The Movie" and all Bonus Features, among them "Hello Ladies Live!" (licensed from Universal Studios Home Entertainment), Deleted Scenes, and "Hello Ladies: Invitation to the Set," a mini-Documentary by HBO focusing on a Behind-the-Scenes look at the making of the TV series "Hello Ladies."

"Hello Ladies" was produced by Four Eyes Entertainment and Quantity Entertainment in association with ABC Studios (aka Walt Disney Television).

"Hello Ladies" was Distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.

Sincerely,
Steve Arino
