Default They should have killed Judy

If the producer wanted to get rid of the character they should have atleast given an explanation. Perfect solution, kill Judy off. They could have done a very special episode in which the family deals with her death. Perfect for this show because he had done many special episodes that deal with social issues.

I agree completely. I was always confused by her disappearance. Not that she was a very big part of the show anyway, but I'm confused as to why they never gave an explanation for her departure. From what I've read, she was the one that wanted to leave, or maybe it was her parents. Having them deal with her death would have been a good episode.

Judy was not killed. She did not die. The actress got fired. You hear?

Yeah, I know. I was just agreeing with what tvje said. They never gave an explanation on the show for why she left. We both thought that they should have said she was killed somehow and deal with her death, rather than letting her disappearance from the family go unexplained.

I didn't realized that she was fired though.

they could have did a lot with that show. but good script writing took a back seat to writing that revolved around urkel teleporting people to other places, urkel inventing a machine that turns himself into a cool guy.

oh, but there was that touching episode where urkel got drunk.

i hated the urkel show.

I think they should have done something.....hec send he to bootcamp if you want just something!! But toward the end, good script writing didnt just take a back seat, they shoved it in the trunk, i could hardly watch the last few seasons of this show. Not to bash though, the early years I am a fan of.

Default Here's what I think

I think that Judy must have went to live with Granda Winslow and Fletcher because it seems like Judy had more of a rapoort with Grandma than with the rest of the family. The rest of the family would slightly brush her off, but Grandma was always there for her. I think that she might have went to live with Grandma in the 1993-1994 season, but it's hard to explain why she didn't come back when Grandma started showing up in the later episodes.

That's just my opinion. And I'm sticking by it. What do you all think?

Well I don't know if killing off Judy would have been the best thing to do but it would certainly have been better than what they did do...nothing.

That would have been A GREAT IDEA!They could of had a 3 part episode or something... where Judy's holding on to her life from a car accident or something... and the shock would be that she eventually dies. No one has done that with any of the characters till this day except Edith in All in The Family... but she died in the not so popular spin-off so I won't count that. Family Matters could have had an emmy material on that but oh well... can't do nothing about it now.I just wish they wouldn't have brushed her off like she just disappeared and everyone forgot about her.

I completely agree that they should have given some sort of explanation for the dissaperance of Judy, but kill her off?

Let's be realistic here. There is no way that a series like FM could ever get away with pulling something like that off.

I couldn't agree more. FM could not pull off a storyline like that.

I don't think there was anything they could have done with Judy. But maybe I have no imagination.

Well i guess we have to wait for a TVography or ET of Family Matters to find out why JUdy was taken off the show. True Hollywood Story would not tell us anything.
