I'm not sure what thread exactly you wanted us to look at, but from the handful that I skimmed through, that board looks like nothing but a bunch of hot-headed small-minded blowhards getting red in the face at each other.

I prefer to spend my message board time in friendlier pastures....

Hi, Bootsy. The original post that I had posted had lots more information in it. Since no one had replied to it, I decided to edit it. The original post said that some people there are locals, some have moved to different parts of the US, and some are even foreigners. I had originally asked to reply if people thought it was a plus or minus. Well, judging by your reply, I guess you thought it was a minus. At least I got your reply. Lets see if more people reply to it. I doubt it, but lets see.

You must be Broadway.
That's right bitches. I AM Broadway.

Default The Original Post

Okay, I guess I'll have to post the original message of this thread. (Fortunately, I had saved it)

Hi, all.
Sometime ago while surfing the Net, I stumbled upon a little website and its
discussion groups. I've been visiting it for some time now. Boy, talk about flaming
threads. These people really get into it. Sometimes there is a lull, but when
someone starts a flame, most of them keep it going, and I mean going. I thought
maybe some of you might want to check it out. BTW, not all of these people are
locals. Some of them used to live there, others are from different parts of the US,
and there are even some foreigners. If you want to check it out go to:
www.brownsvilleherald.com and click on discussion groups, then on general
discussions. Some of the threads are really entertaining, well at least they are to
me. Give it a try and let me know if that forum is a + or a - . Have fun!

Hey Charlie,

OK, now I get the point a little better since you re-posted your original post.

Personally, I no longer find flame-filled message boards either amusing or worth my time.

When I first started going to message boards, I kind of liked those types of forums. Then I realized that people aren't really carrying on worth-while discussions, they are just yelling at each other and not at all willing to listen to what others with dissenting opinions have to say. I lost my tolerance for those types of boards long ago. I found that they made me irritated and upset, and no message board is worth my time if it takes a year off my life from getting mad at the idiots who post there.

I'm not trying to detract from people who find those types of boards entertaining or amusing...they're just not my "bag", that's all.....
