WKRP in Cincinnati is a perfectly cast ensemble comedy set at a rock and roll radio station in Cincinnati. It aired for four seasons from 1978-1982 on CBS. CBS did not know how to treat a gem like this, a whole bunch of timeslot changes did not help. Starring Howard Hesseman as the main DJ Dr. Johnny Fever, Gordon Jump as station manager Mr. Carlson who had a hard time standing up to his mother/station owner (Carol Bruce in a recurring role), Gary Sandy as programming director Andy Travis, Richard Sanders as news director Les Nessman who was fond of rutabagas, Frank Bonner as slimy head of advertising Herb Tarlek whose trademark was loud suits, Jan Smithers as traffic and continuity director Bailey Quarters, Loni Anderson as Mr. Carlson's receptionist Jennifer Marlowe, and Tim Reid as nighttime DJ Venus Flytrap, aka Gordon Sims.
Long before Mayim Bialik became a scientist, was on The Big Bang Theory, or hosted Jeopardy, she starred as awkward teenage girl Blossom Russo on Blossom. It aired for five seasons on NBC from 1990-1995. Blossom's fast talking best friend Six Lemeure was played by Jenna Von Oy. Also starring Ted Wass as her musician single father Nick, Michael Stoyanov as her drug addicted brother Anthony, and Joey Lawrence as her other brother Joey. |

WKRP and Blossom are good classics but I think I love WKRP More under my pick.

Well, looks like I missed the chance to vote. It wouldn't have helped but I choose Blossom. That was a funny, heartwarming and smart sitcom. I've watched WKRP in Cincinnati several times and haven't laughed once (okay, maybe once but that's it). So, this wasn't even close for me.
