I’m back from the Miami area. Here’s pics from the Jackie Gleason Mausoleum. I was surprised when I found out that his last wife (who had died in 2019) was buried next to him in the same fashion as well as his coordinator of his group of dancers (June Taylor) and what I am assuming is her husband and mother. I even “prayed” to Jackie so-to-speak and said that there are fans who want to see lost episodes that are still lost like the sketch that supposedly aired on January 17, 1970 called “Incredible World of Ed Norton” as well as scripts. It was the closest I will ever get to Jackie as long as I’m alive.
I took these pics yesterday and I’m back home in Bonita Springs, Florida which is 90 minutes away. I tried to get these photos in medium size it every time I did, the photos ended up sideways. So, the only way I can get these photos right side up is doing it in their actual size. |

Here’s pics from the outside of the Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason theater. That’s me in front of the Jackie Gleason stick figure statue that is doing “And Away We Go” pose. I went to these places with my parents and sister who are not fans so they asked a lot of questions like who is June Taylor etc. I couldn’t go into the theater since they are having an event but it was nice. To my surprise, I found out that the theater has its own grauman’s Chinese Theater-like area.

Thank you for sharing the awesome pics of your visit with The Great One! The cigarette butt at the sculpture display is sooo apropos!
And to think, just about 2 years ago, folks wanted to tear down the Gleason/Fillmore and build something new! I think the decision was voted down, and funds were used to renovate instead. |

The photos are huge, Frank. Is it possible for you to resize them in MS paint?
Thanks for sharing them. |

I managed to resize the pictures. So they should be more easily seeable now. Too bad I couldn’t go into the theater as well as see Jackie’s house because it’s in a gated community but oh well.
