I voted Ring Dings ! They were the ones I remember my Mom buying , so I guess it was because my siblings and I preferred them to Ding Dongs!

I voted Ding Dongs, but I'm sure I would have enjoyed the knock-off brand. (We typically had Dreamies (fake Twinkies), Swiss Rolls (fake Ho Hos), Zingers (fake Suzy Qs), etc.)

Rings Dings. Although they are in season now, I enjoy Hostess Scary Cakes.

Except Ring Dings came first…..

Ring Dings vs Ding Dongs

Ring Dings – Rings Dings are made by Drake’s who has been producing baked goods since 1896. However, Ring Dings did not come to the market until 1958

Ding Dongs –These snack cakes have been made since 1967 with a brief hiatus during the Hostess bankruptcy in 2012-2013.

More proof that Michael Lembeck probably ate Ring Dings more than Ding Dongs . Being he was 10 when Ring Dings came out and 19 when Ding dongs were invented!

We mainly had Tasty Kake baked treats though ! A Philadelphia based brand of little cakes and pies!

The jingle used to go " So much fun to put in your tummy, so much fun to put in your tummy , "Tasty Kake cakes and pies "

They really are good. Seemed to taste more natural not as preservative filled or something ! The pies are great ! They don't have all the sugar coating on the outside like Hostess does !! Still being made back east, mainly Philly / Jersey area but hard to find nationwide !!

Most of you may not believe this, but I have never even heard of "RING DINGS"

I guess I have had a sheltered life

To say the least I voted for Hostess Ding Dongs.
