Hey heres a simple question thats perplexed me for years: who is it that whistles the theme to the Andy Griffith show. I've heard stories it was Andy others say it was 'whistling Jack Smith' Can anybody help me or supply me details to this classic?

The song was whistled by the same man who wrote the theme song, Earl Hagen.
