Perhaps you may or may not know or have eaten some Andersen's Soups in your lifetime? Then take a look at this commercial circa 1957 that promoted Andersen's Soups. This commercial seems to be the only Andersen's Soup commercial made and tells quite a history of how Robert Andersen created his famous pea soup and decided to market it to stores. This is the same Andersen's Soups that have the Pea Soup Andersen's chain of restaurants and if you ever went on vacation you probably ate at their restaurants because they are so wonderful with all their delicious soups that this commercial promotes. With the news that the surviving Andersen's Pea Soup restaurants in California might go out of business this commercial is a treasure for commercial fans

Hi, Bestie! I ate at Anderson's pea soup restaurant. There was a time when we had great restaurants. Anderson's, Sambo's, Bob's Big boy and others. Now we have boring places. Denny's is about the only surviving one of that time.

I'd like to take a look at that '57 commercial but you didn't provide a link.
I never did visit an Anderson restaurant, but I sure loved Bob's Big Boy. I'd get a Bob's Big Boy burger and then dessert. I'll never forget their hot fudge cakes with the vanilla ice cream slice in the middle! Heavenly, esp. with extra hot fudge. Oh, to have one again.
