Mr. Belvedere, right there from the start of ABC's TGIF and overlooked by junk like Full House.

Perhaps because I grew up in the 80s, and every two years felt like a new generation, I viewed Mr. Belvedere to be in the Who's the Boss?/Growing Pains/Family Ties generation, and Mr. Belvedere was in the shadow of those shows that had teen stars, while Full House was another generation after it, where shows got even cheesier.
Much like Kirk Cameron and Candace Cameron, or Fred Savage and Ben Savage, it was like the shows they starred in were of different generations. But the first seasons of Full House and Mr Belvedere were only 2 years apart, so they overlapped, and Mr. Belvedere and Full House were both TGIF. |
