Default Robberies and shoplifting rampant in

Los Angeles area, crooks going into stores like Marshalls. TJ Max, Walmart and others and walking out with arms full of merchandise. I hear this constantly on my radio, hearing it now. People are desperate and doing horrible stuff and as I see it all this since pandemic. And the law enforcers????? Can't keep up with all that is going on.

Long time residents in CA don't know our state anymore.

And hearing too how people fill shopping carts with groceries and walk out of markets and they can't be stopped .. have heard this one a lot.

And thinking too, this probably goes on by homeless which is Horrid issue in our state.

Thats what happens when you have a society that makes martyrs of criminals who resist arrest.

I haven't seen anything in the newspaper about it happening in our area. But I'm sure it's probably happening in a few stores and it's not making the news. A few years ago, some people walked out of JC Penney's with an armload of sports jerseys and sweatshirts. Now that one made the news because they stole over $500 dollars worth of merchandise.

Shoplifting has been going on forever, but this brazen just walking out of stores with arms full of stuff, buggies full of groceries ... a horrid sign of the times???? And there has been defunding of law enforcement so that could be some of it all too. And I don't know what the martyr comment has to do with anything here.

More population, more job losses, more more more of less and more crimes.

On this defunding issue, I got a robot call on helping to support law enforcement, I say no way, our elected officials are not doing their jobs, squandering money on waste waste waste decisions and giving themselves great pay raises.

Plus I guess a big concern is that if the store tried to apprehend the shoplifter, and the shoplifter tore a fingernail during their noncooperation...they might come back and sue the store for the abuse they were forced to endure. Not to mention the public stigma of being branded a thief.
