A guy on eBay is (or was) selling them. So far, I have got the episodes “Charm School”, “Ethel’s Birthday”, “Getting Ready” and “PARIS At Last.” As far differences go, I didn’t notice any differences in “Charm Schooll” There is some differences in “Ethel’s Borthday.” If you watch the episode when Fred asks Lucy help in getting Ethel a present, he goes to the kitchen with Lucynand says he is ready to fix the faucet. On TV, he says “”It was on my mind.” In the script he says, “Well, I just had it on my mind and…” WhenEthel sees her pants, on TV she says: “Well, that’s exactly what they are. Bizarre.” In the script she says, “I don’t know about Harper’s, but they’re certainly bizarre. Also, in the original script, they don’t have this exchange.
Ethel: “THANKS FOR THE PRESENT.” Lucy: “YOURE WELCOME!” In “Getting Ready”, when Fred shows off the vintage roadster that he bought, on TV, he says, “This ain’t one of those flimsy cars off the assembly line.” In the original script, he says “It isn’t one of your flimsy assembly line jobs.” Also, in the original script, Ricky DOESNT SAY in response to Lucy’s line about him being from the Cuban television network “Yeah CBS.” In “Paris At Last”, when Lucy tries to phone Ricky at the bastille, on TV, she says: Ricky Ricardo. He’s kind of a Spanish Chevalier. Boom! Boom!l in the original script, she doesn’t say Boom! Boom! There’s probably some other small differences that I haven’t noticed. All I know is that some guy has some more I Love Lucy scripts. |

Yeah, CBS sounds like a Desi ad-lb--and when he-ad-libs, I guess it stays! I'd bet the rest are director changes except maybe the snippy Thanks.../You're welcome, which could have been Lucy's idea.

I have a feeling these weren't final-draft scripts as you know the producers on set usually make changes after every scene. That's why all the times I've sat in the audience of a taping it usually takes 3 or more hours!
