I started my career working second shift so missed many of the 80s sitcoms. While many such as Murder She Wrote and Magnum PI are widely available for purchase or line viewing, I can only find the the first two seasons of Who's the Boss on IMDB and do not see availability to watch Season 3 and up anywhere. It's also puzzling that apparently only Season 1 is available for purchase.
As this was a fairly popular show, is or has it ever been that the whole series was available to view? This is puzzling and I really would like to see the rest of the series! |

The Roku channel did carry the series for quite a while up until a few weeks back. They would always switch which seasons they carried. I know that Crackle used to have it too and I believe they handled it the same way.

I understand streaming rights come and go. I've been burned by that when Netflix or Amazon suddenly stopped streaming shows when I was right in the middle (Stargate SG1 for example) but I don't understand why the Who's The Boss series is not available for DVD purchase save season 1?

It’s not a perfect solution, but I have found if I Google “Who’s the Boss sXXeXX” for example, if I wanted Season 3, Episode 1, you could Google “Who’s the Boss s03e01” and there are usually videos online. I’m very sad that there aren’t DVDs able to be purchased or anything like that. I hope that Roku or Crackle or some kind of streaming service adds it again! I wish it was on a more prominent streaming service so more people would watch it!

Anyways if you live in Canada you can watch the entire series (legally) on CTV's throwback website (along with tons of other old shows) in really good quality: https://www.ctv.ca/shows/whos-the-boss If you're outside of Canada, try a VPN. No login or account acquired you just have to access it from within Canada. So maybe a VPN service would work to fool the site! |

Alyssa Milano has been for quite some time, talking about wanting to do a Who's the Boss? revival (a la Fuller House, Girl Meets World, Saved by the Bell and Punky Brewster on Peacock, The Connors, Murphy Brown, Will & Grace, iCarly, etc.). My biggest concern or question, is that is there enough built-in nostalgia to warrant such a thing?
Maybe I'm making a bit of a straw-man type of argument, but WTB isn't officially available on DVD beyond the first season. It currently, to the best of my knowledge, isn't officially streaming anywhere. And it's syndication coverage in recent times has appeared be on and off. I suppose my main point is that, it has been hard to become invested and revisit an old show if it's a challenge to see it in the first place. |
