Default worst series

Man, did you guys see that tv guide placed the ropers as #49 in the 50 worst series in the history of tv? Dude! When I was little, I loved the Ropers. They were right on.

They just didn't get it. It was really a show for the kids who loved 3's Company but didn't fully get the sexual spin. When I was in 3rd grade, you were the coolest ifyou watched The Ropers.

The Ropers really held your attention at the age of 8?

I just got 8 episodes in the mail (well more like 7 1/2 since part of the last one is cut off erm) and from the bits and pieces I've seen (haven't been able to sit down to watch it) it seems good. I like the opening credits. *shrug* Especially the one for the two main stars.

Do you have the episode when Larry from Three's Company guest stars on the Ropers? If so I would be willing to purchase a copy. Let me know.

No, I don't have that episode.

I've watched all 8 episodes and IMO it wasn't that bad. It wasn't in the same league as TC, but it wasn't one of the worst shows.

Never watched that show!
It aired some years ago in germany, but I had no idea that it was "The Ropers"!
But I can't believe that the show was that bad, like the TV Guide reports! The Ropers were such a great couple on "Three's Company"... I am sure that they were great on their own show too! Perhaps even better, cause they were the stars of it!

This series was very good. 1st season they were ranked 8th and then they moved there time slot too Sunday against the a top 5 rated show in Chips. The ratings lowered to 25th but how can a Top 30 sitcom be cancelled?

So the Ropers finished the 79-80 season ranked number 25? I never knew the season 2 ratings only season one when they finished tied with All in the Family at number 7

Yeah 1st season there time slot was right after TC and they finished 7th but then they moved it to Sunday and they still ranked 25th. Its a shame that the 25th rated show got canceled.

The Ropers timeslot was not directly after Three's Company in season one, Three's Company aired at 9pm and the Ropers aired at 10pm on Tuesday
