I am early in season 2, finished episode 9.

If Odessa lives by herself, what does she do for money, while still going to school?

If Harris lives with Odessa, is Harris expected to pay for food by herself?

Also, why does DJ not get any major storylines? He seems to have less than 4 mins of air time in any episode.

Why didn't the actor Fishman want a role similar to what he had on Roseanne, which was occasional major storylines?
