News from the showbiz world. Jimmy Garrett, the talented kid who played son to Lucille Ball on “The Lucy Show,” has died at 66. His ex-wife tells me Jimmy was having complications from diabetes & had a fall. He leaves beyond two daughters, 13 and 10.

Oh, wow. He was only 66, which is too young to pass on. I always preferred The Lucy Show when Lucy's kids were still on the series, and didn't like it when they vanished.

Even though deaths at that age and from those causes are not unheard, that's a bit of a shock.

It would seem that he, Candy Moore and Ralph Hart stayed friends for quite sometime after 'The Lucy Show' ended so I guess they were all still in touch at the time.

RIP, Mr. Garrett.
