In a lot of my previous threads, I wrote about how my favorite episode of the whole series is the second-season episode "Katie Steals Julie's Jock". This episode was broadcast in the fall of 1982. I would say that the time of year that it was shown made it very appropriate for Julie to be wearing the boots that she looked so beautiful in. However, my memory of how lovely I thought Julie looked exist all year round! On various occasions, after boot-wearing season was over or before it began, I would post threads about it being off season for boots. I would write about how, the same way that some people go to ski resorts or dude ranches off season, I drool over the sight of Julie in boots off season! Well, now that summer is over, it seems that promotions for boots are everywhere. Whenever I come to this this or, just about any other sight, I see ads for lady's boots that I think Julie would look lovely in! Well, in seems that stores and advertising companies like to jump the gun in terms of their seasonal items. The Walgreen's near where I live has all sorts of candy and other items associated with Halloween cluttering up their seasonal isle. I see that they have even started to stock ice scrapers for your car and the type of salt that you use to melt the ice and snow on your driveway or walkway. It really boggles me mind that people in New Jersey would be thinking about snow and ice in September!

I thought your favorite episode was "Samantha's Protest." You wrote about that episode ad nauseam.

"Samantha's Protest" is my third-favorite episode of this series. The main thing that makes it my third-favorite is the poetic justice that Katie received for acting the way that she acted. My second-favorite episode is the "Emergency". This is mainly because I fell in love with the "your purse, your purse" line! This was the first episode that I ever saw in its entirety. I was twelve-years-old at the time. I have been hooked on the show ever since! By the time that "Katie Steals Julie's Jock" was first shown, I was thirteen-years-old. The outfit that Julie wore during her study date was Steve (especially her boots) really made my eyes pop out of my head! This is the main thing that made this my favorite episode of the whole series! Even though I never cared much for the character of Katie, I thought that she looked pretty nice in the outfit that she had on for what she thought would be her second date with Steve. In thought her slacks and blouse suited her nicely. Her little pink purse over her shoulder was a nice touch. I would probably attempt to hit on her if Julie had turned me down. On top of all of this, I thought that she showed quite a bit of character when she told Steve off after learning about the disrespect that he had showed Julie. I really enjoyed the heart to heart that Katie and Julie had at the end. All of this added up to why this was my favorite episode ever!
