I think Janet was definitely jealous. She was also jealous whenever Jack showed special treatment to Chrissy. In one episode, Jack looks at Chrissy stretching in bed and he says "everywhere you look, she's a girl." And a jealous Janet replies with "So what am I, a gorilla"?

It was the episode with Chrissy's blind mystery date... Gilbert Larwin, the actor who played "Gary Rabinowitz" on Archie Bunker's Place.

Gilbert made me upset, Chrissy looked like she was interested in him and going to give him a chance and wanted him to kiss her but he ran out like a fool

I agree. The ending was stupid because Chrissy offered to let him kiss her but he declined like an idiot because he said he "didn't want to muss up her hair." What a fool! He had a chance to get to know a girl who was not only pretty with a great body, but she was also very kind and caring. Chrissy was very rare. Most "hot" girls never would have gave Gilbert the time of day, but Chrissy did. She genuinely cared about him and she was kind.

Chrissy was the nicest character on the show. Jack and Janet could be shallow. I felt sympathy for Gilbert until he passed on kissing Chrissy when she wanted him to. I was like dude go away there is no hope for you. Lol

Yeah chrissy was going to lower her standards and actually start going out with him and he was like.........I dont want to mess up your hair

Janet was cool in the first 3 seasons, after that she became a paranoid schizophrenia bitch. Basically, Joyce was playing her real life self. Sad. Hollywood wouldn't touch her after 1984.
