What Happened to Ashley and Heather?
Can anyone tell me why Ashley and Heather left the show? Why did Ashley and Fonzie's romance not go to a more serious level?

I have an article from the National Enquirer from the fall of 1982 and Fonzie and Ashley were supposed to be married that season, but I guess the ratings had continued to drop and they backed off that idea. When Joanie and Chachi came back the final season, there wasn't enough room for all these extra characters so they were dropped.
