Too bad. Seems these classic TV channels only know how to put on shows that have been everywhere and seen everywhere already. It would have been a real time to celebrate if FETV were to add Bob Cummings Love That Bob show or Farmer's Daughter or December Bride.

Next they'll be announcing another never seen & rare show will be added like say, I Love Lucy. Whoopie.

The 11 Am time slot is a big improvement from what METV has been offering. At least I'll be awake by 11...lol!

Best TV Ever Channel on Amazon Prime Video has a lot of 50s-60s shows for 99¢ a month.
LITB is on the free Roku Channel.

Best place to watch is by popping in a DVD. Amazing what's edited out on regular TV showings. Not sure about streaming.

DVDs- most everything available in complete series a plus. Have to keep your fingers crossed player doesn't crash. Worry that you'll be squeezed out with advances in technology. Can't take with you easily

Over the air tv, or cable- won't watch butchered, too many commercial filled shows. I record Jeopardy, judge shows on the cable app and ff commercials. Good for live sports. Absolute pits to watch Nick, metv, antennatv live how they destroy classic tv.

Buy to own streaming- worked out well for me. Have to watch for near giveaway sales only way I'll buy. Never had a show pulled yet. Uncut, no commercials.

Pay streaming service- very nice. Amazon offers many other benefits.

Ad based streaming- get peacock free thru cable. Limited commercials. Decent shows. Easy to use. Roku is a little skakey. Heavier on commercials. IMDb tv has a big library. Some ad based streaming interfaces are messes, or overload commercials. Tubi or Pluto has Becker. Depends on who has what.

I guess that is a product of how well you like the series?

Through the 80s and 90s I accumulated a massive VHS library, all of them which I had watched a half dozen times at the most before they were "ho-humm"ed to obscurity.

Started to do the same thing with DVDs, until I realized I had been down that path once before.

I like LITB better than much of the garbage they put on for us to watch, but the truth is that I probably watch it more often as a cable broadcast, than I would if I had the dvd collection. YMMV

Surprising how many posters watch the heavy commercials, cut versions on over the air, or cable. Do you dvr it , and ff the commercials?

I use the ad time to do other stuff. MeTV's middle break is about 4 minute long.

I record Jeopardy and ff the commercials. I timed how long it was to watch an episode. Think it was 19 minutes. 11 minutes of commercials.

I know this is weird, but if I immerse myself in "binge watching" via DVD, I start to feel isolated after a couple hours or so...as If I have been exiled.
I hate commercials, but strangely I hate not having them more? Something about the live connection.

Plus, just as an example, but I have the complete X files series on DVD. But if I was thinking about finding something to watch, I'd likely skip over the X-files collection because "I've seen all those".

But, when channel flipping, if I tune into Comet-TV and they are showing an episode I remember liking, I might stay tuned, just to savor the parts I remember enjoying.

I'm sure there are tv execs who are smarter than me, who already have figured this out. It's their bread and butter....it's how they know they can get away with that atrocious commercial load.

(sarcasm) Plus, as much as I enjoy the show, June Cleaver never engages me directly. That cool guy on the "Flex Seal" commercial, OTOH, is talking directly to me. (/sarcasm)

Some on this board might notice I'm also a fan of Father Knows Best, which is on Antenna TV. I have read somewhere when Sony put that series on U-matic videotape (as they did many syndicated series in the 90s) they matched the old film syndication edits, since so many stations were airing it (my theory is, if that wasn't done the stations would have to retime all their ad breaks). Anyway, those edits are SO bad, what I do is watch the DVD episode, most of time at the same time as the Antenna TV episode. SO much better!

I tried the same thing on Dennis the Menace, and found the audio so bad on some of the DVDs, I gave up on it. On Father Knows Best, other than season 1 which Shout bungled, they must have accessed many of the original 35mm films from the Robert Young estate, and many of those episodes are in pristine condition.

Beaver is on so early in the morning, I'm just too lazy to fool around with DVDs at that hour! Lazy retiree!!
