Another poorly written episode.......David Miller from season 5

Why the hell would jack decide to start working for a restaurant under another name? Was Angelino going to pay him in cash? I'm sure he had to fill out a w-4 form and give the job a copy of his ID to put in his file

And then when one of the men came to Angelino's looking for David Miller, he says to Jack............."Are you David Miller?"


Shouldnt he know what david miller looks like if he looking for him?


This was a weird episode

I actually like this episode. Its one of the small bunch that I like from this season. Its hysterical when the sister of David's girlfriend shows up and tumbles him on the floor.

Its simple slapstick pretending to be someone that you are not and not knowing what that brings. One of the few highlights of season 5 IMHO.

Of course but many things dont make sense in sitcoms.
How was Grandma Jack supposed to cash a $10,000 check not made out to him when he won the cookie contest. He won a contest as an old woman. He went to the cookie company as a woman to pick up the check.

Another example of sitcom fantasy was the cruise episode where Jack and to pick between his roommates to go on the cruise. In the end, Ralph went as "Jack Tripper". How could he board a ship without proper identification let alone cook for everyone on the ship

Also surprising that Angelino hired Jack back as regular chef considering how dishonest Jack was by impersonating someone else.

Yes that scene was never shown, him being rehired as Jack

There is a quick blooper in this episode. Towards the end when Janet and Furley show up at the restaurant, you can see them look through the restaurant door windows waiting for their cue.
