Default You Gotta Love Disneyland and Be Rich Now

I first went to Disneyland in 1957, not long after it opened.

Costs of admission back in those times:

And now I'm reading where they are selling Magic Keys, and one can do a payment plan!!!!

https://www.ocregister.com/2021/08/0...older-program/

How an average family with an average income can take their families there is beyond me, they need to max max max out their credit cards.

Talk about signs of the Times.

Knots Berry Farm is more affordable and that's where I would take my family if I were in this world.

We went to the Disney parks in Florida 3 years ago. We each purchased a 4 day pass in advance which I believe was $416 ($104 per day). Parking at each park was $20. Fortunately, we were able to take the free shuttle from our hotel. While we were there, they raised the parking price, I think it went up to $25. A modest lunch at each park was about $15. You would think at those prices, there would not be very many people there. Wrong. All the parks were packed.

What I think Disneyland is trying to do is to get more people into their theme parks and since they reopened after being closed so long is regain their audience and this Magic Key is just the ticket to attract more people. I first went to Disneyland in 1991 when I was six years old and back then in the 90's Disneyland was fun and affordable for families. But once the 2000's began the prices for Disneyland skyrocketed when Disney's California Adventure opened in 2001 and since then Disneyland has gone downhill ever since. If you go to Disneyland today a lot of the magic is gone. For example kids cannot hug the characters and all the characters do now is wave to the kids and people and certain rides are either broken or simply out of operation and Disneyland no longer has parades and replaced them with cavalcades with the characters just waving to people. About the only thing Disney has brought back are the iconic fireworks shows. But what I think why Disneyland's prices are skyrocketing is that they constantly add new stuff to regain their audience. Take for instance when Disney's Calfornia Adventure opened Avengers Campus in June the prices went sky high and when Disneyland opened up Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in 2019 the prices were raised again and you need to have a ticket to visit Galaxy's Edge because it's not free with admission. I can say that once the iconic things return to Disneyland such as character meet and greets character autograph sessions character dining and parades Disneyland WILL lower it's prices for good. I simply have no desire of going to Disneyland at all because of this skyrocketing prices. What people need to realize is that there's other theme parks besides Disneyland that are more cheaper and other places in Southern California such as Legoland Universal Studios and San Diego Zoo and Knotts Berry Farm. But I have a feeling that this Magic Key will fail and be Disneyland's worst idea and weakest link in history

I liked the Peoplemover ride until it was retired in 1995.

Haven't been back since.

Wish I can go back to Disneyland. Having a hard time now due to the pandemic, I'm still unvaccinated.

Well, in 1955, park admission cost $1, and attractions then cost $0.10 – $0.35.
Holy Maird!!!

My sister went to Disney World and if I went...I'd probably go if I was a millionaire...or sell my screenplay.
