Default Kelsay House ghosts

So a couple of families reported rampant ghostly happenings while in this house and one of them found a snapshot of a freaky looking face in a roll of film they had developed.

One expert said it's his opinion that the man's face was photographed off a television screen. But the family doesn't agree.

I've often wondered why this mystery hasn't been solved yet. It would seem to me that someone somewhere would've recognized the movie or TV show (or the actor deemed the ghost Samuel) that the photo was taken from.

I haven't been on this forum long, so my apologies if this is discussed in another thread somewhere.

I think the picture is genuine.

You know what? That picture has always given me Jason Robarts vibes, and today it hit me. I think it might be a picture of him in Johnny Got His Gun. For reference, here's a photo of him in it. Not EXACT, but...definitely evocative. I'm gonna try to remember, tonight, and watch the movie, again, and see if I can pick out a shot that matches.

I found the scene the above picture is from (the one I shared) on the unmentionable site, and I'm thinking it's definitely in the running. You put that on an old tube TV, coming through on broadcast TV in the 70s/80s, with the poor contrast/brightness levels you'd get on some TVs....I can't find one that's a 100 percent match, but he even has the same vertical "worry" lines, and the head tilt angle is virtually identical.

I'm not saying this DEFINITELY IS where it came from....but there's enough similarities to call it a possibility.

YouTube is not “unmentionable” anymore. FilmRise uploaded Unsolved Mysteries there several years ago.

Sidetracking here a little. But I'm wondering if we have to continue our running gag of referring to YouTube as the forbidden site.

I've noticed in the last several months that youtube links and some embeds here have been posted and they didn't end up getting deleted. Are links to that site no longer considered forbidden? Because if that's so...yay?

Guess I’m on this person’s ignore list because they certainly didn’t read my post 😅

Its so obviously a TV screen. You look close you can make out the pixels on the screen. And you can see reflected light as well. Its going right off Samuel's forehead, indicating the presence of glass or clear plastic.

I admit it creeped me out as a kid, but now its obvious.

The only thing that really gave me pause was the fact that I would have thought someone would recognize the TV show or movie it came from, but not necessarily. There are tons of obscure and forgotten movies and shows from decades back, it might have even been a home movie they were playing on their screen that was hoaxed somehow. If someone had the time to sit down and look for it they might find it. My guess is no one was interested enough to go through so many movies and shows to try and find it.

All that being said, it doesn't mean the Kelsey's ghost wasn't real. They may have even been telling the truth about not photographing their screen. It could have been snuck into their photos as a prank, either by a single family member or someone else altogether. No way to know for sure but I'd bet good money its a hoax, just looks to much like a screen.

I agree, I think it's definitely off a screen. Just surprised no one has recognized it yet.

Good work sir! Gotta hand it to you.

Definitely very interesting, although I think I see enough differences that I think it's unlikely it came from that JR movie. But as you said, it's a possibility!
