Anyone who's seen much of this show will know what I'm talking about. Danny or Rusty would hold up their hand, flip it backwards and shout, "Eh!"
Is there any specific meaning to that hand gesture that they were frequently doing or is it just a non-specific gesture of dismissal? |

Yeah, I remember that gesture, but don't know the significance.
Another thing he did (maybe copied from somebody else) was the coffee spitting bit when he gets surprise news. |

my parents did the EH voice & gesture my entire life ...
Def meant Ef Hue I'd bet it was common in the the NY & Boston circles from the 1930's a upward +-, me being from Boston Italian |
