Default Episode that deals with the Clampetts trip to California

Do you think it would have been good to have like an entire episode that focused on the Clampetts trip to Beverly Hills? That is a long way!! Can you imagine the messes they probably got into along the way!? I wonder if they stopped in any towns along the way, hotels, restaurants, etc...

I agree that it would have been good but I suppose they wanted to get on with the culture shock of the Hillbilly Clampetts meeting the Beverly Hills Drysdales (and Miss Jane) instead of dragging it out.

Even so, I don't think it would have hurt things had there been a 'flashback' episode (or series of episodes) after things had been set up showing the Clampetts getting from Point A to Point Beverly! Of course, they'd had to have been careful not to let them because any too 'wise' to the ways of the non-Hillbilly world before meeting the Drysdales (and Miss Jane).

That's what I'm wondering, it seems like the trip would have wised them up quite a bit lol.... I could see them getting lost a few times.... I hardly see how Jethro got them there....although in the earlier episodes Jethro was not a complete idiot like he became in the later episodes.... in the earlier episodes he was just a typical simple country guy, but still have some common sense.

It's funny b/c I remember certain scenes from childhood from this show and others that apparently never happened.... for e.g. I remember the opening of the earliest B&W episodes showing the Clampettes driving through different places, instead of how they are always driving through Beverly Hills. I so vividly remember an opening depicting the Clampettes driving down a country road and Jethro is munching on a fried chicken leg as he's driving

I just watched the first episode yesterday, and I wondered how they found their way to California. Seems like they would have gotten confused. I guess once they got on Route 66 they would have been okay, but they still had to find Beverly Hills and the right address. Maybe Jed's tracking skills came into play.

I never thought about it, it seemed one talent Jethro really had was driving.
