Does anyone know the name to this show???
I saw this on E! True Hollywood Story and a show was made that had a family move in to the bunkers old house. It didn't last to long because people didn't like a new family in the bunker house. Does anyone know the name??? |

It ran on CBS for about 3 or 4 episodes in 1994 I think...and it wasn't because of the ratings, it was mainly that people thought that the fact that a black family moving into the Bunker house, was the biggest rip-off ever.

I read that it was a ratings issue. Norman Lear tried to do his best to help draw an audience, but I guess it didn't work. I saw 2 of the eps. I have both but can't find one for some strange reason. The first episode ranked #32 in the ratings which in my book wasn't too bad.

I don't have exact numbers, but I do remember that the ratings dropped with each episode. Just as well. Can you imagine what kind of precedent it would have set if this show had made it? I can hear some network executive now: "Hmmm...I wonder who's living in Major Nelson's house these days? Or the Cunningham house?"

LOL. You do have a point. However I think Norman Lear did a wonderful job putting the show together. It was really cool to have Joey Stivic make an appearance on the first episode.

I saw one episode of this show, It was okay,
I really think they should have given it more a chance to find it's audience. The family's last name was Cumberbatch, incidentally. ------------------ Sweathog Chronicle Steven: Who was Romulus' brother? Mallory: Uncle Remus... Well he was somebody's Uncle! |
