Lightbulb there should be a reunion for this show !!

Never could understand why CBS ( or really anyone else ) have never done an "Alice" reunion. After this show ran for 9 years which is pretty good for any sitcom.

Have Linda Lavin, Polly Holiday, Beth Howland and Phillip McKeon, Dave Madden, Diane Ladd, and Celcia Watson as well as the actors who played Vera's Husband, Henry, or anybody else who did that show, sure most of them, if not all are still living
have them "come back " to the Mel's Diner set ( like Laverne & Shirley did on their rerunion ) and talk about the show. share memories and salute the late "Mel" Vic Tayback since he passed on back in 1990.

If any show deserves a reunion this one is it !!! Same comments can be said about Real People with Sarah Purcell.

I think they should have a reunion, too. I'm hoping they put the episodes on DVD.

Cool

A good premise for a reunion movie might be to have the other characters reuniting for Mel's funeral. This would give them the opportunity to share their memories about the old days etc.

A reunion movie would be a terrible idea since Vic Tayback has died. This would end up being a drama instead of a comedy- focusing on Mel's death? No thanks.

A reunion of the cast special talking about the show is what I would like to see.

I thought the actress that played Vera had Multiple Sclerosis or some other muscular disease.

Last I heard Beth Howland was quite sick, suffering from MS, But that was 3 years ago. Haven't seen her on tv since shoe did a promo for E! promoting them airing reruns of Alice. I believe she is still married to the guy who hosts Supermarket Sweep.

An Alice reunion , though its a good idea. I doubt it will ever happen. When Alice was cancelled I seem to remember an interview ( forgot where ) where Lavin said she was glad the show ended and there will be no reunions.

But then again, that was so many years ago. People do change.
