(Ralph meets Ed at the front step of the apartment building.”

Ed: “What a lousy game on Monday. The Knicks lost by 17 points. They are now down 3 games to 1.”

Ralph: “What a shame. I am not going to hear the end of it from Garrity and Joe Fenstablau.”

Ed: “Those Hawks flew over the Knicks.”

Ralph: “You got that right Norton.”

Ed: “Just think. Another year that the New York area doesn’t have an NVA title. What a shame.”

Ralph: “Almost 50 years of heartache.”

Ed: “At least we still got the Nets.”

Ralph: “Yeah, they stand a good chance.”

Ed: “We ought to teach the Knicks a few plays.”

Ralph: “Yeah. I want to see what I would look like in a basketball uniform.”

Ed: “I don’t think that they make them in XXXXXXXXL.”

Ralph (yells): “GET OUT! GET OUT! GEEEEET OUT!”

(Ed leaves.)

(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)

Jackie: “Thank you. GOOD NIGHT!”
