Another group that was very popular in the 80's was a group called Yazoo in the UK but in America Yazoo was known as Yaz and I bet you had a copy of their most popular album Upstairs At Eric's. Yaz had hits with the songs Don't Go and Situation and Only You which is also covered by Kylie Minogue and James Corden for Kylie's Christmas album. The lead singer of Yaz was Alison Moyet who also became a solo artist as well. After hearing Only You in Napoleon Dynamite I was curious to learn more about this group

Yes I have seen YAZ albums...... But I havent ever gotton any....

Yaz's music was fun and upbeat and full of energy to dance to and when I listened to Don't Go I found it to be full of energy and lots of poppy sounds. I discovered that Alison Moyet has recently released a album called The Minutes and it's an amazing album and when I heard Alison Moyet sing her voice reminded me of Cher's. It's a shame you don't hear music like Yaz's but once you listen to a Yaz album you'll be reminded at how great music in the 80's was

This record store I goto has YAZ records........
