Default Frank could have been a nice addition in season 5 over Penny

That would have gave a reason for Willona character to still be on the show. Give her a man since her friend Florida was gone. Not give her an adopted child

That way it would have been still an adult type of show and not any kids

That would have been a much better way to go. A lot of missed potential there. Penny never should have been added to the cast. She was completely useless as a character, super annoying and a below average actress. She didn't do much better in later years as "Charlene" on Diff'rent Strokes. I couldn't stand her then either.

Yeah, add Frank as Wilona’s man, give J.J. a girlfriend, have The Awesome Foursome get more airtime, and have an aunt sent by Florida added to look after the trio, especially Michael.

The storylines they gave her in Season 6 were so desperate. Stomach mumps? The hell?

What about the snow storm episode when Florida was a bus driver? Wasn't Penny a little too old to be playing with someone as young as Kim Fields? She looked ridiculous.

Who ever hired the teenaged boy was spot on. No way in real life a boy his age would’ve chimed in on Penny and Kim. Penny looked ******** too.

That teenage boy starred on DS as one of Willis friends

Kim Fields was a choice to play Penny, but GT Producers thought that having Chip Fields play an Abusive Mother to her biological real life Daughter would scar young Kim who was only 8 at the time.....

I remember asking on this very Forum why Kim Fields wasn't hired as Penny as Kim was only 8 and it would be believable that an 8 year old wouldn't know about sex, instead of a 13 year old who would most likely know what sex was.... The reply was,"Penny's 13 year old Friend was pregnant, and most People wouldn't buy that a 13 year old would be Friends with an 8 year old. So, Penny being 13 made perfect sense in that regard."
