Default Today's Hallmark Airings (Dope and New Girl P. 1)

Well, I am VERY disappointed that Dope was the EXACT same edits as USA!!! I was waiting for them to show nancy getting looked for, for dope or whatever. It was prolly right where they went to a commercial! UGH!!! Plus!!! New Girl Part 1 was ALMOST the same as USA! That's 3 stations that will not show Mrs. G doing her leg lifts on the bed!! ARGH!!!! :

Anyways! I just have to share this... somewhat funny thing that happened to me when the 2nd season theme song played... are you ready!?!? I CRIED!! haha!! It still hadn't hit me that FOL was ACTUALLY back on the air. Prolly cuz i was used to seeing later season eps... not first season with it sooooo different! When i FIRST saw FOL, it was a 2nd season ep... i hadn't seen any first season eps until the unhidden mysteries marathon that aired for the 2nd time... but i think i was just SOOOOO unbelievably happy to see MY FOL back on.. that i cried... anybody else have huge emotional attachments to the "Great" seasons!?!?

Toodles!

Yeah, for me, the "classic years" are the first 4 seasons, everything from Cindy's "Rough Housing" to Jo and Blair's graduation. *sigh*

Those are emotional tie-ins for me, too---in fact, I remember postin' about 'em in my "introductory" post here when I first discovered this board...

I think that's cool you cried durin' the theme---me, I just got so excited and "grooved up", lol.

Honestly, I know it's hard to resist complaining about Hallmark's way of editing things. They do break into commercials at the most inconvenient times, and I am kind of disappointed that they wait until 5 mintues after the beginning of each ep to break into the opening credits.

On a positive note, they do air some of the best darn classic shows, including FOL, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, etc.

I was just so happy when I heard the 2nd season theme come on, I was like OMG yay! LoL.
Yeah, well, anyways, I noticed that a lot of scences were edited out in New Girl Part 1 but weren't noticable. At least they showed a scene that I think I haven't seen, but I was still kinda dissappointed.
Oh, does anyone want me to post the scenes that Hallmark Edited out? I have New Girl Part one and two typed out on my computer.

I cried too, when I heard the second season theme...but it wasn't on Hallmark..I was watching my N@N tapes the other day...AHHH! Glorious FOL...lol...There was a while there, after i saw the episode where Natalie's dad died, that I couldn't listen to the ending/opening theme without crying..but that's me...lol..

Yeah, see the thread "Here are the teasers!" to see how they edited the beginning to make "teasers" before the theme, to see what are now the "teasers".

I know that sometimes people can convince their cable company to add certain channels, but then again, that would probably take a lot of residents in your area to do so. Still, perhaps it couldn't hurt to voice your opinion to them........

You know what. I'm just glad that FOL is on TV. I rather have it edited on TV than sitting in some vault unedited for all of eternity.

Talking Dope

I thought Dope was so freakin' funny!!! I had never seen it before but it was hilarious. A few minutes into it I wished I had recorded it. That whole part about the bongs and jelly beans, then those girls acting all spaced out. Did anyone else notice Helen Hunt as one of the stoners?

About the Hallmark edits, in The New Girl Pt. 1 today, I don't think NAN ever showed that part with Jo and Mrs. G about using her electrical tape on the flowers. I don't believe I've ever seen that. Hallmark is showing more of the shows than NAN did and I for one am thankful.

Not only that but, in syndication, it is required for 4 whole minutes to be cut out of shows for extra commercials, I believe NAN makes even more cuts. Even when you are watching an I Love Lucy or Seinfeld rerun (the greatest sitcoms ever IMO) they have cut out 4 whole minutes. So FOL is not alone in this situation. If you want uncut, you'll have to wait for the DVD collections!

Same here! I heard about the ep for soo long and was really surprised with what kind of an epsidoe it was. It's probably the best of the season, IMO.

I absolutely loved the bong scene when Natalie said "We just just got 3 bongs" and Mrs. G. was like "Is that a new punk rock group?" LOL then when Tootie takes em out and explain the whole Jelly Bean thing, Mrs G's look is priceless!

Overall I give it a 9 out of 10.
