McDonald's Teams Up with BTS to Offer the K-Pop Group's Favorite Order Globally

McDonald's is teaming up with BTS for a dynamite new promotion.

The fast-food chain announced Monday that its collaborating with the Grammy award-winning supergroup to highlight BTS's favorite order. The promotion, aptly titled "BTS Meal," begins on May 26 and will be available in over 50 countries, including the United States.

The order includes 10-piece chicken McNuggets, medium World Famous fries, a medium drink and sweet chili and cajun dipping sauces inspired by recipes from McDonald's South Korea.

"The band has great memories with McDonald's. We're excited about this collaboration and can't wait to share the BTS Meal with the world," BIGHIT MUSIC, the label of BTS, said in a statement.

"BTS truly lights up the world stage, uniting people across the globe through their music," said Morgan Flatley, Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald's USA. "We're excited to bring customers even closer to their beloved band in a way only McDonald's can – through our delicious food – when we introduce the BTS signature order on our menu next month."

When it comes to famous music stars and celebrities McDonald's has always been number one in promoting pop singers and groups like in the 90's McDonald's launched a deal with EMI Records to have a promotion where you could buy CDs from Tina Turner Roxette and other artists with the purchase of a value meal and the proceeds benefitted the Ronald McDonald House. Based on the success of that promotion McDonald's repeated it with a special promotion with NSync and Britney Spears in 2001 and also had a sweepstakes where people bought a special CD that if you listened to the entire CD without skipping songs the CD had a winning message that gave people the chance to attend a concert. And now that BTS and McDonald's have become partners with this special promotion it will be as big as the Backstreet Boys promotion with Burger King that occurred in 2001 but I think the BTS Meal will be a huge seller when it makes it's debut because when you're McDonald's and you have a famous celebrity item it is destined to sell like hotcakes
