Two of my favorite actors have passed away recently. Rod Steiger from "Oklahoma!" and Rosemary Clooney from "White Christmas." I was very sorry to hear about it. Rest in peace, Rod and Rosie, and God Bless!

I read in a tribute to Mr. Steiger that he always regretted turning down the role of Patton, which went to George C. Scott. That would have been interesting...

I hope one of the classic film channels shows a few of his movies this week. He was awesome in "In The Heat Of The Night."

I literally cried the day I read in the paper that Rosemary Clooney was dead. I grew up on White Christmas... I knew all the songs and dialogue to the movie when I was only four years old. That and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I grew up with Rosemary Clooney entertaining me, and I was so devastated to learn of her death. It was almost as bad as the day I learned Ginger Rogers had died.
