Default Was Easter not promoted much this year?

I think Easter this year was very weak because even before Easter was around the corner I saw little promotion of Easter and few mentions of Easter everywhere and there were few Easter sales this year and now that Easter is over all the stores are focusing on Mother's Day and Father's Day even though Father's Day is in June. Another thing I noticed about Easter is that the stores didn't sell enough Easter merchandise and candy and so it tells me that tomorrow all the Easter merchandise will go on clearance fast. It used to be no matter if Easter was in March or April Easter used to be a big affair for stores and other places because people would be buying ahead of time Easter baskets Easter cards to send to relatives supermarkets would have sales on Easter dinners and the gift stores would sell chocolate eggs with plush Easter bunnies. But starting with this Easter I think we are seeing Easter change it's image and the traditional Easter should make a comeback in the future

One reason is the Covid Pandemic that is going on. Many are afraid to go out and expose themselves with the virus.

I think the only places that made money during Easter are the mail order companies like Omaha Steaks and Shari's Berries because a lot of people ordered Easter baskets full of fruit for their loved ones and when you look at the general picture I think Easter next year should be promoted more and more. Another thing is I noticed that may have caused Easter not so much promotion is if you look at the children's Easter baskets that are sold every year you'll see them full of toys rather than candy and it seems to me that next to Christmas Easter is the second top holiday for toys and when I was a little girl my Easter baskets were of candy and toys and it tells me that these style of Easter baskets are a new Easter trend. And when you go to the store you see no clearance on Easter merchandise and what Easter clearance you find are for little toys called Easter basket stuffers like stocking stuffers at Christmas and the Easter candy gets ignored on clearance as well. I think we are seeing the future of Easter as the years go by

No matter what...Easter can NEVER be cancelled because of this...

My sister didn't want anyone around...but I had a mediocre Easter, I spent it with my church family and my brother....

There were sure a lot of Easter candy commercials on tv. Especially Cadbury Bunny.
