Default So what happened to this character?

Anybody remembers Sophia’s sister, Angela? I think the last time she was seen was in either season two or three. All of a sudden, Sophia’s older brother, Angelo, was introduced in the third season and we never heard of or saw Angela again. It’s as if she never existed. What happened?

They apparently intended for us to forget about her too, because of all things to name a new character who was supposed to be her brother......Angelo? Who would have an Angela and an Angelo in the same family?

dunno why they did that. I liked both characters, though.

I agree it seems very unlikely most people would name their kids Angela and Angelo.

It reminds me a bit of Joan Crawford, who named her three oldest children Christina, Christopher, and Christopher (the first Christopher was reclaimed by his birth mother), and George Foreman, who named all his sons George Edward Foreman, and one daughter Georgetta.

That would be wrong to name your two kids with identical names like Angela and Angelo and have to keep up with that.

Yeah, I heard that about George Foreman. The ultimate act of narcissism. And why did his wife put up with such arrogance?

Joan Crawford was one scary piece of work!

i think the problem with the Sophia, Angela, and Angelo characters is they weren't played by Italian American or old world Italian descent actors. Imagine if Sophia actually spoke like she was Italian/Sicilian. Her lines would have been much funnier. At least the actor who played Angelo played him with having an Italian accent.

It wasn't a real accent... very fake sounding.

Yeah, I never found Angelo’s accent convincing.

"Yeah, I never found Angelo’s accent convincing."

Better than the two actors who played "Cousin Sven" and his fiancé. Both were terrible at doing Swedish accents.

Damn I forgot about those two. Even worse than Uncle Angelo. The way Sven draagggeed out that accent, I wanted to punch him. It was just SO grating to hear.
