The episode "Home Sweet Home for the Aged " where Lamont decide to go around the world for a year in Tramp Steamer ship with crew of 20 other men some how didn't make too much sense to me.
I mean what was he going to do with the junk business with Fred being in an Aged home. He couldn't sell it since the business was in Fred's name and Fred probably would never consent to that idea. And even if Fred agreeing to sale it, what would he do when he gets back from the trip. Not having a high school diploma, he probably have to work his way up from the bottom working for somebody else. So somehow it didn't all add up. |

Early midlife crisis, plus hoping for an easy way out of the junk business. He truly earned the epithet, Big Dummy, here.
Not that Fred didn't concoct a few doozies of his own.. Scheming is in the Sanford genetics! |

It was apparent junk business Lamont wasn't making too much money, so Lamont could have gone to trade school learning a trade fixing things such as household items or cars/cycles. They already own their business location, so any money they take in would be profit. |
