I hate to revive this thread, but I need a place to vent and I figured to do it since The Feel Good Dept. was brought back.

I had a recent infection on my gums and my dentist and oral surgeon said the best thing was to do a small surgical procedure that scraped away the infected tissue.

I was numbed like crazy (surgeon told me I was given a numbing for the numbing) and the procedure itself went fine, but the pain I am in now is intense. He told me to take two Advils and 1 Tylenol every six hours and it simply isn't doing it. He told me they are reluctant to prescribe "anything stronger" since there is a lot of paper work involved.

Yeah, it's a shame , because of all the opioid abuse and addiction doctors and dentists are reluctant to prescribe pain killers now! Sucks for people in pain that really need them ! Hope they can at least give you some Codeine/ Tylenol 3 .They aren't very strong but better than nothing !

Like with me , I used to be prescribed Benzos ( Xanax or Klonopin) for anxiety , not anymore ! Because of the abusers , spoiled it for people who really need them for anxiety and panic disorder !

Anyway, hope you feel better soon and can get something soon for the pain !

If you have Ibuprofen (Motrin) (800Mg) try taking that,that stuff is quite good.......

Motrin and Advil ( that he already is taking ) are the same thing , both Ibuprofen just different brands ! Like the difference between Coke and Pepsi !

I rub Orajel on my gums and teeth when they hurt. It might help you, it kind of numbs the ache.

And if only Grape seed EXTRACT was used for pain, I would not have a 60+ yr's worth of arthritis I manage. I would have no pain, but I do.

I'm OLD in all your lives, but not old school as I support and use Mostly today's supplements. And yes I've lived with home remedies to what I use today, the beauty of being OLD.
