Angry Potsie.Chachi.Spike

Happy Days is my favorite show, but one thing that has always bugged me was the way they changed Potsie. Ok, remember the first 39 episodes (filmed w/o an audience?) Well, Potsie was like an Eddie Haskel. He talked Rich into sneaking out to a drag race, brought him along to a bachelor party and got drunk, bought a lemon of a car going halfsies, talked Richie into letting 3 chicks stay @ his house, and both got fake ID's to see a burlesque show!! He also always bragged about all his girlfriends (although most were exaggerated Im sure). But then, in 1975 when the 3rs season came along, he was now the *NERD*. "Youre such a Potsie" was often said to him, and it wasnt intended to be a compliment. Thats the only thing that bugs me- when Fonzie became so popular the bond between Richie and Potsie was in the shadows and the teenage briggades they often did together was no longer there. It was all focused on Fonz and Richie, which was good, I like the Fonz, but Ive always liked Ralph and Potsie better- they were Richies TRUE friends. Fonz was a friend too, but he was also a mentor. I wish they had more issues with the 3 guys. What do you think?

Also, I know Im offending probably EVERYONE reading this, but frankly, I cannot STAND Chachi!! Him and his wawawa's! AHHHHHHHHH!!! As soon he became part of the show, it was all focused on him and his stupid leg bandana--yeah they did THAT in 1960! He looked like a punk with Farrah Fawcett hair. I personally would have LOVED to see Spike in his place-he was so cute! He was a mini-Fonzie, it was so funny. Oh well, I dont hate Chachi, but I could have done w/o him. And whats up with KC, Rodger, and the now revealed Jenny P? They tried to save the show by bringing in new characters and storylines. I personally believe that people would have tuned in more if they just stuck with the *original 3* stories (if RonDon didnt have to leave). Or if they wanted to bring someone back, good God! Bring back the big bro Chuckie! Id rather see him bounce his ball for 22 minutes than to hear Chachi and his wawawa.
Ahh..I feel SO much better!! Sorry if I offended anyone (if I offended anyone it should be me--insulting my own show here!)

Default The series

Now that's food for thought!
I liked Potsie better in the old days when he wasn't so goofy. Of course being the butt of everyone's jokes was in his character. I thought Chachi was annoying until he lost his wrist band and sleeveless shirts and started dating Joanie.
Flip and KC - I thought they were a miss-match for HD.
All in all 255 episodes and 11 years of HD...
IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!

Thumbs up I agree

Yeah, I totally 100% agree! Potsie was so much better, even though I always laughed when he acted goofy! Yeah, when Chachi stopped selling all the weird inventions and stuff and got mature he improved. I dont really recall Flip, but thats because I stopped watching after 1980. True though, if the show were still running today, you can bet I know I WOULD be glued to my television set every Tuesday night @ 8pm!
