Default Again/Still Do not trade with Mike Shipman (Currently Angie Tribeca)

I have been trading for decades and I have never had a trade go bad including several here at SO, which was a great track record. I see now I should have went over the bad traders section before proceeding! I responded to a want request from username Angie Tribeca. Some of my collection is in the process of being transferred from VHS and some are on disc. He wanted to know if I was planning on making any discs for what he wanted, as he only wanted a disc trade. I could have traded digitally. I was planning on making discs with menus for these shows at some point later in the future, but I figured I could do them sooner.

He said he would have my discs in mail quickly and I went to work on mine. I mailed about 15 discs and provided a tracking number and the discs were received on his end in only 5 days after mailing them! Never received a tracking number or the discs. Went back and forth for weeks. He said he started a new job as an excuse for the delay and then he said he mailed them from home and the carrier must not have scanned the package and must have been lost. I really was not so sure about this, but it's possible. (Sounded like the dog ate my homework excuse)

After a few weeks went by apologized over and over and said he would mail out a new set and then he provided links to download some of the stuff for me in the meantime. Three more weeks went by and still no discs or tracking number ever materialized. I have been more than patient, as I specifically asked for the tracking number.

Meanwhile, Imagine my surprise when I found the following when reading the new posts of the day: (see post #10)

https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards...d.php?t=176008

(there is also a link in post #10 for further details)

I contacted him again and I made no mention of this, as I was still trying to get the missing portion of what I was to receive, at least digitally, He finally provided the link for the rest of the shows.

What a time waster to go back and forth with him again and again for NOTHING that seemed to be coming. It's a slap in the face to have him do this to me, since I satisfied a want of his and I was trying to do something nice for someone. I scrambled somewhat to make the discs and menus to provide them in a better format for him. This experience matches exactly the behavior in the past. Now I have to use my time and my materials to make discs for what he sent me only in a digital format.

Proceed with caution when dealing with Angie Tribeca, the location shows Canada, but he lives in GA. I think this deserves it's own thread.
I will report back if this situation changes, but I am not wasting any more time going back and forth with this person, especially because of the previous track record. There's no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt any longer.

Update:

Based on the chain of events I thought that I should bring this up to an admin because I did not want this to happen to anyone else. All of a sudden when contacted by an admin did the discs materialize within days. It had been a full month with no communication or tracking number, after the date they were to be dropped in the mail for a second time. I suppose that is good, but I already made the discs on my end from the files as I just wanted to get this whole thing over with. Not sure what is going on here, but anybody based on all of the above would be angry and become convinced they were very likely cheated-it's been now over six weeks since I mailed the discs for the trade out!! This all could have been avoided if he would have just keep in touch and did what he was supposed to.

If it means anything I actually did a transaction with him a few months ago and everything was fine, easy breezy. Hmm...

Going through some really old emails. I see Michael Shipman ripped off a friend of mine for over $100 they paid him and he never sent a One Day At A Time set in 2014.
