How did Air Supply get so popular? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When I was listening to music I happened to find some Air Supply albums and I had never understood why Air Supply was so popular during the 70's and 80's? Was it because Air Supply had such a big fanbase or was because they hoped to become successful in America? Because I listened to the ballad Even The Nights Are Better and found it very cool and the video that accompanied it was so cute with Air Supply at a carnival with their crushes. But I don't understand why Air Supply's songs are rarely covered by any singers or groups today. Is it because Air Supply's songs are not as big as songs by any other artists or groups? There should be artists that should release an album of Air Supply songs because they are nice and since Air Supply still performs today this should inspire them to make a new album

I would love finding thier first 2 records which have thier BEST stuff on it!!!

All I have been able to find are US releases

I found a wonderful Air Supply song called Eyes Of A Child that talks about how precious a child is to the world and it's simply a beautiful song that could almost be a lullaby to a child. Have you heard this song or remember it?
